The facilities here are 1st Class and it was so well set up for dogs with the meadow securely fenced so they are safe and cannot worry any farm stock. “It’s the details I love about this cottage. As a seasoned holiday cottager with dogs, this sets the standard that no other cottage I’ve ever stayed in has near matched. Everything is thought of. It’s a peaceful place but near to everything. It’s timeless but has all the mod cons. Secure paddocks for the dogs to run round in and lots of great walks including a nearby beach. Absolutely loved it. I’ll be back again.”

The cottage was immaculate, finished with some lovely little touches (and cake!). We had some excellent recommendations of places to eat, hike, kayak and explore. The eco-conscious element, refillable everything and consideration for the environment was very much appreciated. We will not be hesitating to return and have already recommended The Old Swan to everyone we’ve spoken to since. Simply the best.”

“Decided to look for a cottage last minute and got super lucky with this place. Hosts Saran and Richard have clearly put a lot of thought and care into creating a great experience for both humans and dogs. The cottage has been very nicely renovated and is equipped with everything necessary, plus several additional little touches that just make life more comfortable and/or convenient - again for both humans and dogs! The grounds are stunning, with furniture to dine or lounge and read a book, a cozy fire pit to gather round in the evening, and loads of safely fenced space for dogs to run free. Saran and Richard were totally unobtrusive but there if ever we needed anything, and great for local knowledge and recommendations. The cost for the week felt like excellent value for money - most particularly as half the UK seem to be trying to book a cottage at the moment - and we felt completely safe with the strict covid cleaning protocols. We would very happily return!”
