Dogs Welcome
Dogs love The Old Swan Inn. Lounging by the log burner in the winter, running free and exploring hidden paths in the enclosed organic summer meadow, ball games in on the large lawn, exploring the National Park and sandy beaches; chasing and splashing in the sea. Happy dogs. It's doggy paradise here, and of course, it's their holiday too!
The front and back garden and parking area is gated off, then there is a lawn, separate orchard meadow, and organic meadow each enclosed by stock fencing (about an acre of enclosed grounds for your pooch to run wild in). All but the tiniest dogs should be secure unless yours are prone to jumping fences! If you’re not sure, just call us for a chat.
We provide treats for your best friend, water & food bowls, dog towel, hose for rinsing down after the days adventures, so just bring their bed so they'll feel completely at home. The cottage will comfortably accommodate one large, two medium (retriever size) or 3 small dogs.
Of course small caged pets are welcome too. Let us know who'll be coming with you on your booking form or chat with us first if you're not sure.
We ask that dogs aren't left alone in the cottage without chatting with us first and that they don't sit on the furniture or go upstairs. We provide a stair gate to discourage them exploring the bedrooms. If your dog really can't bare not sitting on the sofa with you, please bring plenty of clean throws, and if you think you'll need to leave him on his own in the cottage for a short time, please chat with us before booking, as their own crate, dog walking service or dog creche may be the solution.
Dog Day Care is bookable with the following Licensed and fully insured provider. You must book ahead and bring your dogs Vaccination certificates.
Cotton's Creche, Clynderwen (20 minutes drive from the cottage) is just £12 for a half day & £15 for a full day, with a multi dog discount available for two or more dogs from 8am - 5.30pm on Monday to Friday. Annie's Creche allows dogs to play freely with each other under close supervision from her staff. The dogs can choose whether to play indoors in the large play barn, outdoors in our large enclosed yard, or relax on the beds and sofas in the chill out area and watch their favourite programs. Your dogs will have a full day on fun and will return home tired and ready for a calm evening with you.
